Two to appear in court

Both charged with accosting children

MANISTIQUE - A Gladstone woman and a Manistique man will be appearing in Schoolcraft County Circuit Court on Monday in connection with charges of accosting children for immoral purposes.

Kathy Jo McDougle, 40, of Gladstone, and Daniel Lynn McDougle, 50, of Manistique, were arrested in August by Michigan State Police from the Manistique Detachment.

During an Aug. 26 arraignment in district court, Daniel McDougle was officially charged with two counts of accosting children for immoral purposes (each a four-year felony) and one count of aggravated indecent exposure (a two-year felony).

During an Aug. 28 arraignment in district court, Kathy McDougle was officially charged with two counts of accosting children for immoral purposes.

The two subjects were initially lodged in jail but have since posted bonds and were released from police custody. Each is scheduled to appear for motions hearings in circuit court on Monday.
