Escanaba Golden "K" Kiwanis Club welcomed Tim Bennett, Bay Cliff Health Camp director, center, the main speaker for a meeting of the club in mid-August. Bennett described many of the important programs and events held year-round at Bay Cliff, along with interesting facts about its history since it first opened in 1933. Golden "K" secretary, Larry Arkens, at left, presented Bennett with a donation as a contribution to Bay Cliff's needs. Newest member, Kay Bloom, was also on hand for the presentation. Golden "K" Kiwanis meets each Wednesday morning the Escanaba Civic Center with a guest speaker and/or an event scheduled for each week. "Golden" means members are 60 years of age and older who are interested in helping youth and their activities and programs for the area.
