MUNISING TOWNSHIP - State Police at Munising continue to probe an accident that claimed the life of an Alger County man Wednesday afternoon.

Paul Herbert Walker, 70, was traveling southbound on H-13 near the Coalwood Grade around 2:35 p.m. when his 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck left the roadway and struck several trees, troopers said. There were no passengers in the vehicle.

Walker was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in the crash, and Walker was wearing a properly fastened seat belt at the time of the accident.

Assisting at the scene were Alger County Ambulance and the Munising Township Fire Department.
