This week, May 19-25 is EMS (emergency medical services) week. The recent terrible tornados across our nation serve as a reminder to all of us that there are those who's job 24/7 each and every day is to protect us all. While we sleep, work, or go about our everyday routine activities, these special folks stand ready to serve at a moments notice.
Please remember all first responders and recognize the difficult job they do. Whether it's delivering a newborn infant, doing CPR on a patient, or simply bandaging a routine injury, it's all in a days work. Just like us, they too are parents, sons and daughters, and hope to return home everyday to their families. Sleep well tonight, knowing these guardians are on duty, in their vehicles and emergency rooms always ready to respond when called upon.
