Teachers get message of appreciation

May 11, 2013
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

From the Cameron PTO:

"The Cameron PTO would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the members of our staff. Cameron Elementary is blessed to have a caring, nurturing, patient and loving staff working with our youngest students. It's not often we stop and remember to show our gratitude for all they do. During Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-10, we want them all to know how grateful we are for their presence in our children's lives. Your influence and guidance will have a lasting effect!"

From the Gladstone High School Softball Team:

"The Gladstone High School Softball team, coaches, and parents would like to thank the people of Gladstone and local businesses for their generous donations of returnable cans/bottles and money. Special thanks to North Bluff Grocery, Gladstone Super Valu and local distributers who donated supplies and assisted with returns. We appreciate your continued support of our softball program."

From Paul Harvey and members of the Escanaba Lions Club:

"Congratulations to Lion Don Scott who has diligently served as secretary/treasurer of the Escanaba Lions Club for over 45 years. Lion Don's dedication and faithful service is a model for our community. If you see Lion Don Scott around town, please thank him for his service. 'Good on you' Lion Don!"

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.

We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
