GLADSTONE - The Friends of the Gladstone Library will hold their 21st annual Candlelight Dinner on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church in Gladstone.
The dinner is the primary fundraising event of the year for the Friends. It will be catered by Amber Soderman and music teacher Lori Anderson's students will provide the entertainment. Also during dinner there will be book drawings, including a book by children's author Pam Flowers, "Alone Across The Arctic."
The Friends will be raffling off another beautiful quilt made by and generously donated by member Anne Grenier. It is a queen-size quilt and is called a Thimbleberry Borders Blast Quilt because it has five borders.
A queen-size quilt donated by Anne Grenier will be raffled off at the 21st annual Candlelight Dinner hosted by the Friends of the Gladstone Library on Saturday.
The quilt took a year to make and the estimated value is $1,200. This will be Grenier's last year for making and donating a quilt for the Friends.
Tickets for the quilt raffle are $1 for one and $5 for six. Tickets for the dinner are $15 and are available at the Gladstone Library, 428-4224, from any Friend, or call 428-9249.
