Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Marcella

GLADSTONE - Kathleen "Kathy" Marcella, 76, of Gladstone, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Marquette General Hospital .

Kathy was born Sept. 17, 1936, in Baraboo, Wis., the daughter of George and Mildred (Bintz) Barrow. Kathy was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church and choir in Flat Rock. She was united in marriage to John Marcella in 1985.

Kathy was retired from the Eaton Corporation after working at both the Gladstone and Kenosha, Wisconsin locations for many years, along with her husband. She also volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul warehouse in Escanaba, loved wildlife and the outdoors, gardening, traveling, watching the Green Bay Packers and most importantly spending time with her family.

Kathy is survived by her son, David (Lynn) Carignan of Little Suamico, Wis.; daughter, Catherine (John) Anderson of Cornell, daughters, Rene (Mike) Boddy of Gladstone, Maria (Mark) Greenough of Escanaba and Josephine Palmer of Gladstone; sons, Master Chief USN John (Patcharee) Marcella, stationed on the USS George Washington, Chuck (Donna) Marcella of Alabama, Tony (Angie) Marcella of Gladstone, and Matt (Rosanne) Marcella of Escanaba; 22 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Gordon (Sandra) Barrow of Baraboo, Wis.; three sisters, Beverly Brewer, Marilyn Goetz and Laurel Nett, all of Baraboo, Wis.; numerous nieces and nephews, and her faithful dog, Reggie.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 14, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock with Rev. Fr. Jose Maramattam officiating. A luncheon will be served in the Father Matt Hall immediately following services. Kathy will be laid to rest next to her husband, John, in the Flat Rock Cemetery .
