GLADSTONE - Rodney and Deanna Monroe celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a reception, hosted by their family at the United Steel Makers Hall.
Rodney Monroe and the former Deanna Winling exchanged wedding vows 25 years ago on May 23, 1987, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Escanaba. The wedding party consisted of Kristina (Winling) Fennell and Nikki (Winling) Belhumer, both sisters of the bride; Jean Caron and Lori Johnson, both friends of the bride; Cindy Monroe, sister of the groom; Darren and Mark Winling, both brothers of the bride; Ken Simpson, Bob Vandamen, and Steve Marvin, all friends of the groom; and Heather LaLonde and Kim Bisson, both friends of the couple, were flower girls.
As a couple, the Monroe's enjoy camping and fishing. Deanna also enjoys reading. She is employed at U.P. Otolaryngology, while Rodney is employed at the Gladstone Waste Water Plant.
