Community helps youth stay active

July 28, 2012
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

From Janet Lindstrom of Escanaba:

"Well done Players de Noc in your presentation of Willy Wonka. It was wonderful and we should be so proud of the children who were in it. Thank you for bringing joy and happiness to our community."

From Amber Wilson of Gladstone:

"Our family would like to thank the Gladstone Recreation Department and staff for the great job they did, putting on a t-ball program for 2-4 year olds. The coaches were very patient with the kids and knew all of them by name. The kids had fun and learned some of the basics of baseball. We're grateful that we have these kind of programs for youth in our area."

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.

We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
