Stephenson High School Art Club students participated in the Empty Bowls Project for the third straight year. Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. Guests are invited to a meal of soup and bread. In exchange for a monetary donation, guests choose a bowl, pictured at right, created by students as a simple reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. The money raised is used to stock area food pantries. Three of the 12 students who took part in the project are: from left, Megan Grinsteiner, Katherine Majkrzak, and Shelby Belanger.
