Senior John LeMire of Escanaba received the Ovid Provo Award and a $300 scholarship at the Escanaba Area Junior Hockey Association banquet. LeMire was a defenseman and assistant captain for the Escanaba High School hockey team. The Provo family has awarded the trophy since 1980 to exemplify EAJHA ideals of sportsmanship, ability and scholastics. LeMire received the award from Chuck Provo.
