Volunteers make youth events possible

March 24, 2012
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

From the Bark River Harris Youth Wrestling Club:

"A big thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and parents that helped make our youth wrestling tournament a huge success on March 11. We appreciate all of your support and generosity."

From Joe Wilson, race director, Red Buck District:

"I would like to thank Riverside Chevrolet for the use of their garage and for the lunch and refreshments, Jerry's Autobody and Pro Auto Body for providing 15 trophies, and the great help from all of the volunteers that helped put on a great Pinewood Derby Race. It is great volunteers like these that make local youth organizations work. The scouts really appreciated all the help. Thanks again."

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.

We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
