Community helps Cancer Alliance

February 25, 2012
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

From the Delta County Cancer Alliance:

"We would like to send a bouquet to all the employees of Delta County Credit Union for their donation of $342.55. This money is from selling Saykllys candy bars. Thank you for your kindness and generosity to the Delta County Cancer Alliance. This donation will help our cancer families with money to travel to treatment centers."

From the Delta County Cancer Alliance:

"We would like to send a big bouquet to all the ladies from the group called The New You's of Bethany Lutheran Church for their donation of five quilts for our patients to help keep them warm in this cold weather. Thank you for your kindness and generosity to the Delta County Cancer Alliance."

From Right to Life of Delta County:

"Special thanks go out to each and everyone who made a difference for life by supporting our annual January appeal. Also to; St. Anne's parish for holding the youth Respect Life prayer service, St. Joseph & St. Patrick parish and the Escanaba Catholic Faith Formation program for hosting the pro-life prayer service and reception, all who witnessed for life by writing letters, making phone calls, sending e-mails and making the trip to Washington D.C. to take part in the 39th annual March for Life. May God bless you all for your efforts to help build a culture of Life!"

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.

We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
