Clothes Closet says thanks for community support

January 21, 2012
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

From the Escanaba High School Clothes Closet:

"The Escanaba High School Clothes Closet would like to thank all of the community members, community organizations and the EHS staff for their insurmountable donations this past year for students. We were able to send 60 students home this year with gift certificates of $25 or more for Christmas. In the past, we have been able to do this for about 20 students. This shows how much the community and the Escanaba Area Schools care about our kids. Thank you."

From Dale and Jo Skogman of Gladstone:

"We want to extend a big bouquet to Dorothy McKnight for her fine article on The Bay Sages which appeared in The Active Life Daily Press insert last weekend. It's good to have Dorothy back writing interesting articles at the paper. As active members of the Bay Sages life-long learning group we invite senior retired folks to join us at our enjoyable and informative meetings at 10 a.m. on the first Thursday of the month at the Heirman Center on the Bay College campus."

From the Masonic Lodge 396 of Gladstone:

"The Masonic Lodge 396 of Gladstone would like to thank all the organizations for helping make the Meet Santa Program in Gladstone a success on Dec. 10, 2011."

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.

We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the Virtual Newsroom button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
