ESCANABA Leah Renee Gibson and Zachary Adam Sarnowski were united in holy matrimony during a wedding ceremony that took place on Oct. 8 at Central United Methodist Church in Escanaba. Rev. Scott Harmon officiated the early afternoon ceremony.
A reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Danforth Place.
Matron of honor was Liz Soper, a friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Korina Ball and Jenny Gibson, both cousins of the bride, and Jessie Shields, a friend of the bride and Jenny Gibson.

Standing as best man was Bob Skerbeck, a friend of the groom. Matt Pearson and Nick Shields, both friends of the groom, and Steve Sarnowski, a cousin of the groom, served as groomsmen.
Mike Sarnowski and Jeff Sarnowski, cousins of the groom, seated the wedding guests. Flower girls were Madeline and Kaydence Bunch, daughters of the bride, and the ring bear was Mo Sarnowski, cousin of the groom.
Leah is the daughter of the late Richard Gibson and Lorraine Burk-Gibson of Boise, Idaho. She graduated in 2002 from Eagle High School and American Institute of Health Technology in 2004. She is employed at Wells Fargo Bank in Escanaba.
Zach is the son of Roger and Jane Sarnowski of Escanaba. He graduated in 2001 from Escanaba High School, Northern Michigan University in 2007, and Northwest Lineman College in 2009. He is currently employed at Pike Distribution in Wells.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Sarnowski are making their home in Escanaba.
