ESCANABA - Sheila Phyllis Hughes and John Paul Krueger were united in marriage on May 7 at St. Anne's Church in Escanaba. Msgr. Michael Steber presided over the 1 p.m. nuptials.
A reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Peninsula Bay Inn.
Brittany Bosilovatz, the bride's friend, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were: Beth Way, a friend of the bride; Cambria Hughes, sister-in-law of the bride; Heather Hendrickson, cousin of the bride; and Nichole Adams, sister of the groom. Flower girls were Anika, Lilia, Kinsey and Danni Hughes, nieces of the bride.

The groom's friend, Tom Gardner, stood as the best man. Groomsmen were Terry Jackson, Brad Prey and Troy Sovey, all friends of the groom, and Dan Hughes, brother of the bride. The groom's sons, Evan and Aaron, served as junior groomsmen.
Seating the wedding guests were David and Nicholas Hughes, brothers of the bride.
A 2003 graduate of Escanaba High School, the new Mrs. Krueger is the associate director of the Delta County Chamber of Commerce and is the daughter of Daniel and Lala Hughes.
John is a 1994 graduate of Escanaba High School and is an employee of EMP. He is the son of Scott Krueger and Barb (Terry) Meeker.
After a honeymoon in Algoma, Wis., the couple is at home in Escanaba.
