Pepins married 55 years

GLADSTONE - Ronald G. Pepin and the former Loretta Krause were married 55 years ago on June 2, 1956, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Escanaba.

Standing with the couple were Larry and Ethel Pepin, Arthur and Jackie Berndt, and Russell and Marion Trepanier. Kathy (Lancour) Vogel and Jeanne (Krause) Woodbury were the flower girls. David Berndt was ring bearer.

The couple celebrated their 50th anniversary with a party held at the Terrace Bay Inn with family and friends. Their 55th was celebrated with a small gathering of family and friends.

Loretta and Ronald Pepin

Ronald retired in 1991 from Michigan Bell - Ameritech. He is a member of All Saints Church in Gladstone, the Gladstone American Legion, Eagles Aerie 1088 of Escanaba, and Telephone Pioneer of America.

Loretta is a homemaker and is a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Escanaba.

The couple are the parents of four children - Michael K. (Angie) Pepin of Hugo, Minn., Lynn (Jim) Matta of Gladstone, Kevin J. (Veronica) Pepin of Crivitz, Wis., and Heather Murtha of Gladstone.

They also have nine grandchildren - Tyler J. Frost, Michelle Yates, Mika Pepin, Takoda Pepin, Tehya Pepin, Tyler Pepin, Rhyan Murtha, Maddy Murtha, and Rhys Pepin.

The couple is at home in Gladstone.
