ESCANABA - On May 20, 1961, Sally Jo Erickson and David Briggs were married at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Escanaba. They have made Escanaba their home and raised their three children here.

David worked for Delta Abstract & Title Company during the beginning of their marriage and then went on to own and manage Briggs Abstract & Title Company until he retired in 1999. David enjoys the outdoors and the beauty of their property on a bend of the Ford River.

Sally was a homemaker until their children were older and, in 1982, joined David in running Briggs Abstract & Title Company. She now enjoys volunteering her time and talents with the elderly as a Senior Companion. She also is active at her church as an alto in the choir and as a back-up organist. Her favorite past-time is playing her piano.
