Andersons celebrate 50th anniversary

GLADSTONE - Robert Anderson married the former Roberta Sodergren 50 years ago on April 8, 1961, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Roberta's sister, Gloria Terrien, and her husband, David Terrien, attended the couple.

A reception at the Terrace Bay Inn followed the wedding ceremony.

The couple will celebrate their wedding anniversary on May 28 with family and friends.

Robert was employed at Harnischfeger and then for Bayview Manor in Gladstone for the past 25 years. He enjoys gardening.

Roberta retired 25 years ago. She enjoys attending music festivals.

The Andersons are members of All Saints Church. Both enjoy snowmobiling, four-wheeling, camping and motorcycle riding.

The couple are the parents of three children, Kim (Mike) Rabitoy of Escanaba, Traci (Tim) Brett of Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Rob Anderson of Northfield, Minn.

They also have seven grandchildren, Bob and Tiffany Bretl, Alyssa and Courtney Anderson, Sarah (Chris) Latvala, Brent Rabitoy and Chelsea Rabitoy; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Bretl and Payton Latvala, with one on the way this month.

The Andersons make their home in Gladstone.
