POWERS - Michelle Cappaert became the bride of Nick Charles during a wedding ceremony that took place Oct. 16 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Spalding. Rev. Bob Gloudeman, cousin of the groom, presided over the early-afternoon nuptials.
A reception in honor of the newlyweds followed at the Bark River Senior Center.
The bride selected her sister, Angie Arduin, to serve as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kasey Kleikamp, Kelley Kleikamp, Tesha Malone, April Kelly, Jamie Land and June Stockton.

Mike Charles stood as best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Nick Arduin, Chris Smith, Curtis Grondin, Chris Vincent, James "Buzz" Whitens, and Rob Westrich.
David Whitens and Brett Baird seated the wedding guests. Flower girl and ring bearer were Maddie Westrich and Jack Way.
Michelle is a 1999 graduate of North Central High School. She attended Central Michigan University and Bay College, graduating in 2006. She is a loan officer for Menominee County Federal Credit Union.
A 1997 graduate of North Central High School, Nick also attended Bay College. He is employed as a process technician for Stewart Manufacturing.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Charles are planning a honeymoon trip to Walt Disney World in Florida in April. They are making their home together in Powers.
