Congratulations and a job well done to the USW Local 22, Nancy Ricey, and to all those that worked on the special Christmas party held at the fairgrounds for the union members, retirees and their family on Saturday, Dec.10. It was a wonderful winter wonderland and enjoyed by all the little ones and families. The decorations were truly an inspirations depicting the Christmas season, and the meal was extra delicious. The children had such a fabulous time and enjoyed all of the activities that were offered. It definitely put everyone in the holiday spirit. Merry Christmas and may God bless.
A thank you to everyone who adopted a tree this year at the Escanaba Municipal Dock. The display looks great and adds to the beautifully decorated downtown area. Thanks for spreading your Christmas cheer.
A special thank you to everyone who donated food, toys, money or their time to aid local efforts to help the needy this Christmas. The Delta County area is a generous community and efforts this yar proved that once again. Whether you dropped some spare change in a Salvation Army kettle, made a donation to the Delta County Animal Shelter, helped put together food baskets, or helped in any way, thank you all.
Special recognition goes to all those involved in the seventh annual Christmas Day Dinner on Saturday, Dec. 25, at Memorial United Methodist Church in Gladstone. Sponsored by six Gladstone churches, they open the event to the public to enjoy a traditional meal on the holiday. Their efforts help make the holiday brighter for many.
