BARK RIVER - Kristie Lynn Grzyb and Michael John Dziergas Jr. exchanged wedding vows Saturday, June 19, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Bark River, with Rev. Mark McQuesten officiating.

A reception followed at the Highland Golf Club.

Matron of honor for her sister was Melissa Knuth. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Dziergas, sister of the groom; and Miranda VanEffen and Stephanie Grzyb, cousins of the bride.

Standing as best man was Norman Larson, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were David Thorsen Jr., cousin of the groom; and Gregg Larson and David Deno, friends of the groom.

Seating the guests were James Knuth Jr., brother-in-law of the bride, and Zach Erickson, friend of the groom.

Kristie is the daughter of Ronald and Catherine Grzyb of Bark River. She graduated in 1999 from Bark River-Harris High School and earned an associate's degree as an accounting/computer specialist from Bay de Noc Community College. Kristie is employed at the Island Resort and Casino as a payroll coordinator.

The son of Susan Tardiff of Escanaba and the late Michael Dziergas Sr., John is a 1998 graduate of Escanaba Area High School. Michael is a member of the 1430th Engineer Company of the Army National Guard and is also employed by the Island Resort and Casino as a vault supervisor.

After honeymooning on a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, the new Mr. and Mrs. Dziergas are making their home in Escanaba.
