DeSalvo -Kwak

DeKALB, Ill. Emily Ann DeSalvo and Thomas Andrew Kwak Jr. exchanged wedding vows at St. Anne's Church, Escanaba on May 15. Fr. Fran DeGroot presided over the nuptials.

A reception followed at the Terrace Bay Inn, Gladstone.

Maid of honor for her sister was Adrienne DeSalvo. Attendants were: Jessie Noblet, Cindy Belanger, Molly Lark, Fay DuBord, Katie DeGrand, and Audra Puleo, all friends of the bride; and Maggie Berube and Kristin Curtice, sisters of the groom. Junior bridesmaid, Kelsie Smith, and flower girl, Madison Curtice, are both nieces of the groom.

Darrell Cass, friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were: Zachary Harris and Chris Williams, friends of the groom; Ed Berube and Jim Curtice, brothers-in-law of the groom; Joe Boblie, Timmy Casey, and Jim Boblie, all cousins of the groom; and Spike Houle, friend of the bride.

Aidan Fahey, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer. Ushers were: Jake Anderson and Joe Kidd, cousins of the bride; Nick Boblie, cousin of the groom; and Jerry Norman, friend of the groom.

Emily is the daughter of Cliff and Chris DeSalvo of Escanaba. Tom's parents are Cindy and Jim Skradski of Escanaba, and Thomas and Roseann Kwak, of Knox, Ind. Honored guests were Earl Sovey of Escanaba, grandfather of the bride, and Martha Salisbury, also of Escanaba, a special friend of the groom.

Emily is a 2006 graduate of Northern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She is now working towards her master's degree in criminology, and is employed as an adult probation supervisor for Kendall County, Ill. Tom graduated this summer from the Universal Technical Institute and is pursuing a Doctorate of Motors for Toyota.

The couple has made their home in DeKalb, Ill.
