ESCANABA - The Living Traditions exhibit, displayed at the William Bonifas Fine Arts Center September through October, included works by Native Americans from Michigan and Wisconsin, the greater Great Lakes area and Hannahville youth.

The Viewers' Choice award, given by Bonifas Fine Arts Center, went to Rapid River artist Karla Sunn for her oil painting "Hereafter." The work, in Reflections from the Great Lakes (works from Native Americans in Michigan and Wisconsin), earned the largest number of visitors' votes.

An artist since the age of 3, Sunn has participated in numerous exhibits including those at the William Bonifas Fine Arts Center, the Mary Cretens Memorial Gallery and the Neville Museum in Green Bay.

For more arts center information, call 786-3833 or visit www.bonifasarts.org.
