NORWAY - Patricia "Pat" Cazzola, 81, of Norway, died unexpectedly, Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. (She felt 28 years old)

She was born on St. Patrick's Day in 1928, in Escanaba, the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Fraser) Farrell. Pat graduated from Escanaba Senior High School in 1946.

She worked as a meter reader for the city of Escanaba for five years and then as a bank clerk at State Bank of Escanaba for five years.

Pat married Severino Cazzola on June 1, 1957, in Escanaba. He preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1998.

Pat was a faithful member of St. Mary's Church in Norway.

She enjoyed playing smear and rummy with her family and friends, writing letters to the editor and Congress persons, singing and walking around town. Pat hated waste of all kinds.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Clark) Cazzola-Roberts of Marquette; sons, James (Kim) Cazzola of Norway and Stephen (Debbie) Cazzola of Magdalena, N.M.; grandson, Adam (Brandi) Siefert of Gwinn; great-grandson, Maddox Adam Siefert of Gwinn; sister, Donna (Dick) Noeske of Satellite Beach, Fla.; brother, Howard (Julie) Farrell of Hardwood; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives; and her cat.

Pat was preceded in death by her sisters, Jeanette Farrell and Joan Moore.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Norway.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with Fr. James Roetzer presiding.

Interment will be held at a later date in Norway Township Cemetery.
