Bay College
By Laura MeadESCANABA - Renea Ranguette, who has served as vice president of administrative services at Bay College in Escanaba for the past eight years, has announced she will be resigning in December.
Ranguette has accepted a position at Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville, Wis., where she will serve as vice president for finance and operations.
"It is with mixed emotion that I reached the decision to submit my resignation...," said Ranguette in her resignation letter. "Bay College holds a special place in my heart and I'm proud to have been a part of this institution's history. ...I have fond memories of my time here at Bay College and will miss my colleagues, both old and new, whom I'm also fortunate to refer as my friends."
Ranguette explained she had been exploring the idea of obtaining an advanced degree in educational leadership, but finding a program close to home was difficult. After both she and her husband began exploring their options, they decided on relocating.
Ranguette expressed the importance of her finding an educational institution that is as committed to student success and to providing affordable, quality education as Bay College is.
"I'm committed to the community college mission of accessible, affordable, quality education and as I began my search, I knew I wanted to remain with an institution that is committed to quality improvement and student success..."
Ranguette said Blackhawk Technical College proved to be the perfect match. She accepted her new position enthusiastically.
Ranguette said she will begin her new position on Monday, Dec. 7. Her last day on the Bay College campus will be Friday, Dec. 4.
