ESCANABA - Joseph and Cheryl Bernier, along with Thomas Keith and Deborah Ann Duchaine, all of Escanaba, announce the engagement of their children, Nadine Andrea Bernier and Thomas Y. Duchaine, of Escanaba.

The future bride is a 2007 graduate of Escanaba Area High School. Nadine attended Grand Rapids Community College and Bay College. She plans to resume her post-secondary education at Bay de Noc Community College in January.

The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Escanaba Area High School. Currently, Thomas is attending Bay de Noc Community College with plans to major in engineering. He is employed as a bartender at the Island Resort and Casino in Harris. Thomas is also a member of the United States Army Reserve in Marquette.

The couple is planning a Dec. 18 wedding at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Escanaba. A reception will follow at Danforth Place.
