PERRONVILLE - Don and Doris (Silibeck) Ives of Perronville celebrated their 50th anniversary Aug. 23. Don and Doris were married Aug. 22, 1959, in Stephenson.
A party was planned by the couple's three children and their spouses at the Ives camp.
Don and Doris built their home in 1975 and have lived in Perronville for 42 years.

In 2000, Don retired from his position at St. John Trucking, where he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for 26 years. Since retiring, he works part time for Rays Feed Mill, enjoys hunting and fishing and gives a hand to friends and neighbors wherever needed. He also enjoys going to camp.
Doris has been a homemaker who loves cooking, gardening, canning, wild berry picking (with Don's help), making jam and jelly, and putting puzzles together.
Don and Doris are both very involved at Bark River Bible Church.
The couple enjoys going to their grandchildrens' school functions, including basketball and football games.
The couple's children are Cindy (Paul) Robinette, Don (Ruth) Ives and Debby (Larry) Heers.
Their seven grandchildren are: Curtis and Kyle Robinette; Rachelle and Brad Ives; and Brian, Derek and Heidi Heers.
Don and Doris also have two great-grandsons - Kaden and Gavin Heers.
Unable to be present for the celebration were Curtis Robinette of Tennessee, and Brian, Melissa, Kaden and Gavin Heers, of South Carolina.
