WELLS - David and Judith Gereau recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in Panama City Beach, Fla., while visiting their son and future daughter-in-law.
A special dinner out was held in honor of the couple. Also during their visit, Judith attended the bridal shower of her soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Kathleen King.
The former Judith Malinowski became the bride of David M. Gereau April 26, 1969 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Escanaba. Fr. Mayotte officiated, along with Brother Chris Kavanaugh as lector.

Attending the bride were: Pamela Zell, sister of the bride; Carol Steinhoff, sister-in-law of the bride; and Betty Bartosz and Judith Wicket, both friends of the bride.
Standing for the groom were Guy, Frank and Wally Dale Gereau, all brothers of the groom, along with Marvin Carlson and Dennis Flath.
David was employed as a machinist at New Page (formerly Mead Paper) for 39 years before his retirement in 2008. He is a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 640 and the Bay de Noc Sportsmen Fishing Association.
Judith is also a member of St. Anne's parish, where she is the church organist. She belongs to the General Federation of Women's Club, Extension Homemakers and the Wells Township Board.
Together, David and Judith, along with family and friends, are enjoying traveling, gardening, going to camp and visiting with their two children, Laurie (Mark) Whorley of Muskegon, Wis., and Michael (Katie) Gereau of Panama City Beach, Fla.
