Motorcyclist injured in wreck

ESCANABA- A Colorado man was injured Wednesday morning after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle, according to Delta County Sheriff Gary Ballweg.
The accident occurred at around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, when Lyndol Lee Aumiller, 64, of Arvada, Colo., attempted to execute a U-turn on U.S. 2-41, near Mead Road and the entrance to Pioneer Trail Park.
The cyclist pulled onto the roadway into the path of a vehicle operated by Jamie Michelle Ring, 32, Rock, who struck Aumiller broadside.
Aumiller was transported to OSF St. Francis for a leg injury and later transferred to Marquette General Hospital for further treatment of his injuries. Ring did not sustain any injuries as the result of the accident.
Delta County Road Commission personnel were also dispatched to the scene of the accident to remove accident debris from the roadway, along with gasoline and other volatile fuels which may have spilled as a result of the collision.
Assisting Delta County Sheriff's deputies at the scene were troopers from the Gladstone Michigan State Police Post and Rampart EMS.
