ESCANABA - Ronald and Sharon Klug of Escanaba celebrated 50 years of marriage April 11. The occasion was marked by a seven-day cruise, courtesy of their children, who joined them on the anniversary voyage.
The former Sharon Coplan became the bride of Ronald Klug in 1959, during a ceremony officiated by Rev. Clifford Nadeau at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Escanaba.
Maid of honor was Carol Coplan, sister of the bride. Marlene (Klug) French was a bridesmaid.

Best man was Harvey French, brother-in-law of the groom. Groomsman was Frank Breault, grandfather of the bride.
Sharon is the daughter of the late Edward Coplan and Marie Coplan Lynaugh.
Ron is the son of the late Arthur (Art) and Isabel Klug.
Ron retired after a 25-year career at Harnischfeger and later worked as a self-employed painter. Today, he works on old cars, as a member of the U.P. Vintage Tin Car Club. He also enjoys playing cards with friends and walking.
Sharon is retired from the Escanaba Public Schools system. She most enjoys spending time with her family. A member of the Red Hat Society, she also enjoys playing cards with her friends and dining out.
The couple has three children - Terri (Richard) Dimock of Waukesha, Wis.; Edward (JoAnne) Klug of Appleton, Wis.; and Lisa (Mark) Blau, Rapid River.
They also have seven grandchildren - Nathan and Bradley Dimock; Nicole, Paul and Jason (Maraen) Klug; and Kyle and Eric Blau.
In addition, they have two great-grandchildren - Jacob and Molly Klug.
