Holmquist - Carlson

TRENARY - Robert and Thelma (Holmquist) Carlson of Trenary celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a party at United Memorial Methodist Church in Trenary.

The couple was married Oct. 30, 1948, in Marquette. Attendants were Richard Carlson and Neola Holmquist.

Robert attended Eben School in Eben Junction and was employed as a truck driver for the Michigan Milk Producers Association for 23 years. He was also a dairy farmer.

Thelma is a 1948 graduate of Trenary High School. She enjoys knitting and crocheting, and both like camping and fishing.

The Carlsons have two children - Joyce (Mike) Matula of Marquette and Diane (James) Nelson of Troy. The couple also has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
