HANNAHVILLE - Edgar and Charlotte (Williams) Sagataw celebrated 63 years of marriage Oct. 6.
The couple was united in marriage in the town of Garden, with Rev. Sanford performing the ceremony. Maid of honor was Marcella Meshigaud, and best man was Thomas Williams.
In honor of their 63 years together, the couple's marriage was blessed Saturday, Oct. 4, by Rev. Mark A. Mc Questen at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Bark River. The couple was honored at their home with a dinner served by their children in the area. Children present were Charlene, Cheryl (Gerald) Light, Carolyn (J.R.) Auginausch, Errol (Cheryl) Sagataw, Loretta (Wally) Pearson, Paula Frye and Jessie Sagataw

Edgar and Charlotte moved to Neenah, Wis., in May of 1955. Edgar worked at the Neenah Foundry for 15 years before relocating to Minneapolis, Minn., where he retired from Juster Steel in 1990.
Charlotte was employed by Standard Kollsman of Oshkosh, Wis., for a few years but mainly stayed home.
Edgar served in the Army and is a veteran of World War II. He also served in Italy and is a lifetime member of Hannahville American Legion Post 116.
Edgar and Charlotte have 12 children - Charlene, Cheryl, Carolyn, Eddy, Errol, Celeste, Jeffrey, Luanne, Betsy, Loretta, Toni and Paula. They also have 38 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
