THIS WORD, apparently is hated by the press:

des*****

The word is des.*****!

Eveidently, the press figures the word is too close to the word des.pis.sed

It’s all about MONEY

for the BIG-TIME-PLAYERS.

Follow the money.

All of these firms made money, or in some cases, lost money,

but eventually because of tax advantages through various LOOPHOLE INDUCED transactions,

have ultimately profited from the constant “CHURING” of a firms’ assets or liabilities.

Through various tax regulations and loopholes,

many financial concerns increased their bottom line from the various

sales and bankruptcy proceedings of what was formerly known as

Mead Paper Corporation, of just a few years ago.

Here are just a few of the . . .

BIG-TIME PLAYERS,

that have profited from the initial sale of the former Escanaba Paper Company and then the Mead Corporation.

These companies, though not in any significant order, have come to prosper because of various laws that provide financial gain,

while employees and stockholders may ultimately come to be losers in comparison to the big money makers/schemers.

Goldman Sacks,

J. Aron & Company,

Verso Paper,

NewPage,

Apollo global Management,

Abitibi-Consolidated,

Cerberus,

Goldman Sachs Credit Partners,

Franklin Resources,

JPMorgan Asset Management,

Oaktree Capital Management,

Centerbridge Partners,

Stora Enso,

Mead Westvaco,

Resolute Forest Products.

Notably, one BIG-TIME PLAYER stands

front and center,

in the amount of money it has made through the various machinations,

sales and bankruptcy proceedings in the paper industry over the years:

THAT ONE FIRM IS

GOLDMAN SACHS.

NEWpAGE

is a

FAR LARGER

company than

Verso Paper,

with roughly $3.1 billion in annual revenue

vs. just under $1.5 billion at Verso Paper.

Combining the two firms may create

SYNERGIES

that pay off for all of the

WHITE-GLOVE-INVESTORS

that are BEHIND the Monday, January 6, 2014 deal.

It could also help to mitigate falling revenue at both firms.

A special situations strategist at Albert Fried & Co.,

calculates that the merger could generate $175 million in

cost SYNERGIES

between Verso Paper and NewPage.

Inclusive of merger-related

SYNERGIES

he calculates that Verso Paper could generate $636 million in

adjusted earnings before

interest,

taxes,

depreciation and

amortization (EBITDA),

a near 500% INCREASE to the company's $134 million in trailing 12-month adjusted EBITDA.

The word SYNERGIES, appears

multiple times

in various decryptions/descriptions for the sale of NewPage to Verso Paper in the

context of ‘SAVINGS’

which is just another CODE WORD meaning “RESTRUCTURING, and

ultimately the “DISLOCATION OF JOBS”.

SYNERGIES, don’t you just love the euphemistic jargon . . .

It's the same jaron the rich and their corporations have applied, and continue to apply to COST-CUTTING, and

ultimately the loss of jobs for wage-earning, legal American workers.

SYNERGIES

LONG LIVE THAT WORD.

Don’t forget PAST SYNERGIES:

Right-sizing

Down-sizing

Out-sourcing

They are all SYNERGIES, a euphemism that appeals to the rich,

but is des***** by workers who lose their jobs.

Along the same vein, or vain, whatever…

What happened to the good old days when all of the stadiums, parks, arena’s where designated name of these facilities where commonly known from whence comes the source of funds to build them:

Taxpayer Park,

Taxpayer Stadium,

Taxpayer Arena !

No, now the vain corporations have to “Own the park, stadium, arena” identity, Comerica …

Why do we let advertiser take over every second of our day, inserting their vain attempts to scr.ew our money into their pockets!

From television, radio, all the media, roadsides, public facilites the rich have taken over…

Pretty soon, the city hall will be henceforth known as

Charter Hall;

the Delta County Building will

become known as Enron County Building, and of course,

the jail will become

Hutch, Win and Rosemary Home & Education Reform-School for the re-Socialization of Societies miscreants…

and bay will operate the facility!

Wait, what? I think someone posted the wrong article to the wrong heading. I was wondering what happened to Andy Heller's column online. Haven't seen one since October. Really wish the Daily Press would be a little more consistent with their online publication.
