that said, I give credit to Bob Lindbeck for his persistence - hopefully it'll pan out soon - maybe send pictures of deficiencies and/or get the local politicos in on it too.. maybe you've done all this.

People love to bash Barack,or any sitting president or politician, because it's easy to sit in an easy chair at home and pretend that any one of us would know how to do the job better. I wasn't a fan of Bush at the time, but I respected him when he said of those who critisized him, that that was fine, but it was his job, and "they didn't care to run." Most people have NO idea what they would do differently with massive amounts of federal monies and hundreds/thousands of places to allocate it. All of these requiring complex political deals with 435 House folk and 100 senators. Most people, if questioned directly about what THEY would do, would sputter and look foolish. Harkening back to Bush, 'you didn't care to run...'

Stimulus money rebuilt the intersection of US 2 and US 41 in Rapid River, re-paving an area that didn't need re-paving. If the feds were going to dump money into road projects, it would have been better spent if more attention had been paid to what was actually needed. And Yooper is right, federal money is used for both federal and state highways as well as some county roads and city streets. Michigan sends more money to Washington DC than they receive back in federal aid, unless something has changed in the last few years.

smarterthanyou? NOT! Federal dollars are used on both interstate and state roadways and bridges. Did you ever hear about the gas & diesel taxes on a gallon? Have you ever been outside of Delta County to see the socialist Obama's name on highway/road projects using stimulus money? He even said he would fix the countries bridges with stimulus money. Do you know what stimulus money really is?? You are probably like Nancy Pelosi. We have to sign he bill in order to see what is in it? Real smart.

I thought the great Republican Rick Snyder was going to fix all of Michigan's problems. This isn't a federal issue Yooper, it's a State and local issue. But your partisanship is clearly showing, you might try to correct that.

How can this be? I thought the great Barrack Obama was repairing bridges with all his STIMULIS money he was passing out. He was creating jobs everywhere according to the useless MEDIA. This can't be happening. Even the wicked witch Nancy said so.
