Michigan’s brain drain

February 21, 2013

FLINT — I learn lots of interesting things from my 16-year-old daughter. And by interesting I mean frightening. Sixteen and frightening seem to go together....

I find it interesting the "cool" cities came in before jobs. Jobs beget work, work begets money, and money begets "cool" cities! In that order, not the other way around.

Jack, apparently you have only read this one article from Heller.

Heller attacks Conservatives and defends Liberals in every other article. Right or rong, he has picked his side and refuses to be open minded.

Heller has no place to complain about anything regarding the issues of jobs or the economy in this state. He staunchly defended Granholm while she was in charge, and he demonizes Snyder no matter what he tries to do. No one is perfect in politics, but good ideas are good ideas, and bad ones are bad. Hellers stance is to defend bad ideas and disagree with good ones based purely on politics.

Personally, I prefer new approaches over continuing failed policy. Anyway, I could go on and on, but there is a limit on characters allowed.

Shlort, How do you manage to turn this into an "D vs R" discussion. I didn't read anything political in the gentleman's article. Simply an acknowledgement of an obvious problem that has only gotten worse since I left the state in the early 00's to make WAY more money. And that was after a decade of the Honorable John Engler's leadership. Just sayin'...

Mr. Heller, you went on to express concern about our kids leaving the State. How come you did not do the usual and blame someone for it? Is it because the State spiraled down the toilet under the watch of Jennifer Granholm, a Democrat?

Luckily for you and our kids, Governor Snyder is taking a proactive approach to business growth and jobs creation in Michigan.

Of course, most Liberal types could care less about success or attempt to succeed if a Republican will get credit for it. The average Liberal would wish the worse on our State for no other reason than who is running it. Not only that, the average Liberal will help derail efforts to make things better just so they can say things got worse. Very sad.
