Is there any common sense in our government anymore?
EDITOR: It definitely seems a rare trait these days. Over 200 years ago Thomas Paine wrote ‘Common Sense’, a pamphlet about an overreaching government. That government was the British Monarchy. Do we have similarities today? In the last many months, a lot of people have become wary of spending in government. This has created an atmosphere where citizens are concerned about the course of the Nation. This concern is not only from Republicans, Democrats or Independents. This concern is from all corners of American Life. Just before Tax Day, April 15th, a group of concerned citizens met in Escanaba, Michigan to discuss a way to protest our government’s over-involvement in all walks of life. We organized a little protest on April 15th in Escanaba against this lack of common sense in government. We were joined around the Country in TEA Parties. Taxed Enough Already Parties. We placed a Proclamation at the offices of our elected leaders of Bart Stupak and Carl Levin.
