Blended family, and then some

GLADSTONE - The "Brady Bunch" they're not. And the 1968 movie, "Yours Mine and Ours," starring Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda, may be a little closer, but still falls short. Merging the families of Dr. Roger Kulas (with two children) and his wife, Norma (with four children), was only the beginning. Just as the Beardsley family of "Yours, Mine and Ours," the Kulases had a son together following their marriage. But that is still not the end of the story. Since the birth of their son, Josh, the couple has adopted three sons from the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific. "We like to call it 'yours, mine, ours, borrowed and take-ins,'" said Norma, with a beaming smile, as she described the daily mayhem of raising 10 children, along with a number of temporary foster children and foreign exchange students. "I can't imagine us without a bunch of kids around.
